I haven't used this myself, but ATA over ethernet was recently
written up favorably in Linux J and is lower cost than NAS/SAN.
I'll give it a go the next chance I get. It's new and is not
wide spread. THere seems to be only one vendor supporting
Linux that I could find. It's supported in the Linux kernel.
The article could have been a shill for all I know, but it
looked OK.
