Just to be sure, what is the name of the module I would look for with
lsmod?

the name is in the HOWTO. You only need the helper modules if you're running LVS-NAT. If not, you need to read about setting up ftp for the other for the other forwarding methods. I presume ldirectord handles the setup for ftp for LVS-DR etc, but I don't know.
