Hello,
This may sound kind of silly, but oh well. We just purchased 4 web
servers and we are interested in load balancing them. Is it possible to
load balance more than one web site on the same installation? SO that in
essence the loadbalancer has two or more virtual hosts and then sends
these requests to the correct service on the internal web servers?
I realize that there will not be a great gain in speed but the reliabilty
will be far better than 4 webservers each serving a different site.

This is a little confusing for me as I stumble on the vocabulary...

Is it possible to:

                            |-------------------------|
                            | Load Balancing Server |
                            | |
                            | Answers to 2 or more IPs|
                            |x.x.x.1, x.x.x.2, x.x.x.3|
                            |-------------------------|
                                        |
                                        |
And then depending on which IP the request was sent to the request is then
farmed out to one of the four webservers which each have three web servers
running on three virtual ips.

                                        |
                                        |
                                        |
                                        |
                        Webserver1------|------Webserver2
                                       / \
                                      / \
                  Webserver3---------/ \-----------Webserver4
