Hi everybody,

This message is to announce the availability of LVSM,
a linux virtual server manager.

LVSM is a GPL'd management package being developed here at
Penguin Computing to aid in the setup and admistration
of LVS based clusters.

What does LVSM offer?

 - Level 4 switching with LVS
 - High Availabity with heartbeat
 - Service Level monitoring with mon
 - Web based gui
 - On the fly configuration
 - Cluster Statistics reporting

The LVSM homepage is at http://lvsm.theory.org

What can lvsm do now?

LVSM can:

 - inspect cluster resources such as vips and nodes,
 - add / remove / configure vips dynamically
 - show network statistics for vips and hosts

All of this is done through a web based gui for easy
admistration.

As this is the initial public beta release of LVSM
we are mostly looking for feedback at this point. We
do not recommend the use of LVSM in production systems
at this point in time :)

Please send any questions / feedback / complaints to the
lvsm mailing list at lvsm@xxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks,
Brian Martin
