Hello

Thanks for the info

I want to make sure I understand one more thing

My realservers, need to send email.

I assume I am going to have to somehow get sendmail working and also dns

Am I going to have to do this with ipchains?

Thanks

For security reasons you don't want realservers being able to contact
machines on the internet (incase they're hacked) and you don't want people
from the outside being able to connect to them directly

http://www.austintek.com/LVS/LVS-HOWTO/HOWTO/LVS-HOWTO.operation.html

remember you have all that credit card information on these machines.

If you want to upgrade your realserver, you do planned maintenance, you take
it out of the LVS and then do whatever you need.

If security isn't important

set up sshd and a route to the sshd from your ssh client
