you don't - it handles tunneling out of the box.

However it can't set up director failover.

I expect UM can handle tunneling too.

yes, Linux doesn't honor the noarp flag

you have a lot of questions. You could set up an LVS using the
mini-HOWTO
and you'll get most of your answers during setup
