When using NAT the redirector has to have a firewall rule to respond back to
the clients.
I used /sbin/ipfwadm -F -a -m -S 192.168.1.0/24 -D 0.0.0.0/0 and magically my
SYN_RCVD's dissappeared.
Hope that works for you as well.
