If uname -n on that macine says linuxha1, then thats ok.
You may also write
linuxha1 IPaddr::192.168.0.226

Telnet is running on 192.168.0.226, is that the host You are running
heartbeat?
If You also want to start the telnet daemon together with heartbeat, You
may write into Your haresource file
linuxha1 IPaddr::192.168.0.226 telnetd
assuming You have a script named /etc/rc.d/init.d/telnetd.
