Derek,
thanks again for your help. I hope this is the last time i have
to bug you about this, but do you remember how you updated your system? I
seem to be stuck in a rpm version trap not relating to the kernel version.
# rpm -i piranha-0.4.17-2.i386.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
kernel >= 2.2.16-2 is needed by piranha-0.4.17-2
ipvsadm >= 1.11-2 is needed by piranha-0.4.17-2
# rpm -i ipvsadm-1.11-4.i386.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
piranha <= 0.4.14 conflicts with ipvsadm-1.11-4
# rpm --force -i ipvsadm-1.11-4.i386.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
piranha <= 0.4.14 conflicts with ipvsadm-1.11-4
# rpm --force -i piranha-0.4.17-2.i386.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
kernel >= 2.2.16-2 is needed by piranha-0.4.17-2
ipvsadm >= 1.11-2 is needed by piranha-0.4.17-2
did you run into any of this? would removing piranah allow me to install
ipvsadm? is there a way to get the source and compile it myself?
