主题: Redirection based on location of client.
Dear all,
I've been wondering if there is a way to use LVS to redirect the requests
to the nearest real server based on the client's location (IP address? No.
of hops?).
We have recently finished setting up a load-balanced web site here in
Malaysia (with just 2 servers but expanding to 8 in the next couple of
months) and it's been getting a fair number of hits. There's also been
quite a few entries in the guestbook where one of the main
complaints/comments of the people who have visited the website is that
it's slow. So, one of the ideas is to find a co-lo provider in the US,
Europe, and anywhere else that might be useful (we've been hosting the
stuff in Malaysia) and still use the same VIP for the site.
Is this possible/reasonable?
TIA,
Yusseri.
