is a daemon for this. You only have to write the agent (called a monitor
in mon speak) which detects whether the service is up or not.
For one service writing your own demon is OK, but if you want to monitor
many services, then the modular style that mon uses is the only way to go.
Could we have the code for your RADIUS demon, in case someone decides to
write a monitor for it?
