This is a difficult problem which gets discussed every now and again.
The problems are of transferring the data often enough
to be useful, without consuming all resources on the
director. No-one has come up with a scheme that they
are prepared to implement and test.
Although this would seem an important thing to do,
in practice if you are only going to failout your
director once every 6 months for planned maintenance,
and you're only going to loose a few sessions in doing
so, then it's not worth writing a whole lot of code
for it.
