If I were you I'd update to 2.4.5 (or 6?) from kernel.org and the latest
tarball/SRPMS LVS release.  LOTS of program seem to not work right with
kernels between 2.4.1 and2.4.3 (maybe even .4..).  I think it will save you
trouble, both now and down the line.
