if this is production system (and is supposed to perform like it) -- your
firewall is your firewall, not other programs such as LVS.  why increase the
complexity of it?

if this is for a small company with a budget -- sure, combine them.. just
try to keep your setups simple and your ruleset strictly defined (DENY all =
absolute).
