I want to setup Linux director and real servers in linux using VS-DR. Can i use single NIC in the director and in the real servers?

I don'nt have any router so the director has to be directly connected to the internet. So do we need two real ip one for the director  and another for  the VIP which is the web site ip or can we do with a single real ip and do we have to assign real or virtual ip to the real servers.
