TurboLinux has used an earlier version of LVS to package their product,
they clam that their code is different from LVS... But hard to really
know... just send email into their mailing list to clarify that point...
They still a little evasive on that point :)

Anyway LVS offer a very good stability for a global loadbalnced
architecture... Sometime bugs are founds but fixes are really quickly
applied !

We are developping some periphericals tools to go very high availibility...
Currently for director failover you can use hearthbeat or a specially
design protocol : VRRP (http://keepalived.sourceforge.net).
