Hello,
I am new at this list, but maybe you can help me.
We are looking for a load balancing solution for linux without an extra load
balancing server.
I only know a solution from microsoft for Windows 2K and XP called network
load balancing protocol. In this solution two or more servers share the same
mac-address for the official ip. All server get the packet and only one
server takes it the other server(s) drops the packet. This needs the same
load balancing algorithm at all servers, but this should be no problem.
Anyone knows such a solution or a similar solution for linux ? The only
condition is that we don't want an extra load balancing server in front of
the real servers.
PS: Sorry for my english.
best regards fitz
