Server_gw for an internal network only

I've set up a basic DR scheme on a test network (10.0.0.0/24) with one
director and three realservers.  Currently I have the Server_gw set to one
of the machines on my network and everything is working fine.  I would like
any machine on the 10 network to be routed through the director.

Is there a way to do this other than setting up a gateway on the network or
converting the director to act as a gateway?
