Yes we do sell a load balancer based off of the lvs project. We use lvs
to provide high availability for our flagship adserver product.
LVS has enabled us to provide a cost effective load balancing
solution to our customers without having to go to a costly 3rd
solution. We had purchased a webmux server from redhill networks
about 2 years ago to do our initial load balancing. It started to lock on
us quite frequently and we wanted to expand the feature set. When we
found out it was based off an open source project called lvs, I flocked to
the website and began educating myself. The webmux now collects dust in
our parts room. Because of the high volume of ads being served and the
risk of failure with a single server, lvs has fit nicely into our product
matrix. We've incorporated a lot of our own code to customize our
product, including extending mons capabilities for server health
monitoring as well as a web interface. The price of the load balancer
depends on the hardware specs of the box.
