That's one of the great things about the 1.0 (and 0.9.x) version -
ipvsadm gives you all sorts of helpful info that you had to run around
scraping together with other tools before.  I've been hammering my lvs
1.0 server on a 2.4.18 kernel for nearly 8 straight days now and its
been completely solid.
Try it out - you'll like it.
