Distributed file systems (slightly off topic?)

I have a working setup of ldirectors with heartbeat. takeover and
forwarding works perfectly. 

Now i'v come to the point of setting up more then the one test server.
And I was wondering what Distributed filesystem, or other means of
keeping several computer filesystems in sync. the participants of this
list is using?

a google search comes up with several good alternatives, but how to pick
the right one.

the server(s) will run mail and apache+mysql
