You could setup multiple VIPs - one internal one external.  Would defeat
your purpose or not.  Also I'm not certain if a DMZ would make things
simpler for you or creating administrative headache(s) and problems.
Something like static routes to a MASQ server for your VIPs on the servers
you want the VIP to work on might be more effective.
