The short answer is no.

Recently Sebastien Lefebre kindle offered to translate the HOWTOs into
French, but it turns out that my xml which is translated into html by xsltproc
isn't completely docbook compatible. Several years ago I made valiant
but futile attempts to compile and install docbook, spending several
weekends and a lot more time than it was worth in an attempt to get
docbook running. With the offer help from Sebastien standing in the
wings I gave it another go, but couldn't get it to install from
source code using the docs on the website (some of the files linked
were missing). Since I have a limited amount of spare
time and my interest in docbook is as a tool and not a development
project, I'm prepared to wait till docbook can be installed with
`tar -zxvof docbook-xx.x.tar.gz; ./configure && make install`.

As a result of seeing the difficulties (again) of installing docbook
from scratch, I was reminded of how difficult it must be to install
LVS from scratch for people coming to the project for the first time.
