Not sure if this is an option, but the HP Procurve 2524 managed switch only
runs about $500 these days, and the unmanaged Procurve 2324 is only $420. I've
used both with LVS clusters and they work fine. Why not upgrade? It's kinda
silly to run a cluster designed for high availablity on an entry level cheapo
$200 switch.

At the same time, I've run test clusters without fail on $40 D-Link and SMC
soho switches. I think you need to dump the switch.
