Hi everybody,

we have the following setup:

ldirector: Intel Xeon CPU 2.80GHz 1GB Ram
IP Virtual Server version 1.0.4 (size=65536)
running mostly lvs-DR and some virtual servers with NAT (95% DR, 5% NAT for all
incoming traffic)
running 4 virtual server (http and https) with wrr turned on.

1 x vs with 2 realserver (route)
1 x vs with 6 realserver (route)
1 x vs with 5 realserver (masq)
1 x vs with 24 realserver (route)

ldirectord,v 1.62 2002/11/28
2.4.18 kernel

ipvsadm -L -n --rate shows 6000 cps at peak times (all virtual servers together)
incoming packets 40.000/s
incoming Mbit/s: 80

The CPU states 55 - 60% (system)
It seems (?) too much for this setup. Is this because of the mixture of dr and
masq?
Anyone with a similar setup? Any performance hints?
Thanks in advance.

Heinz
