Well, I did that besides not using the lvs_xxx.conf thingy.
I disabled SNAT.
Thats what my /etc/ipvsadm.rules looks like:
-A -t 132.100.10.99:22 -s rr
-a -t 132.100.10.99:22 -r 127.0.0.1
/etc/init.d/ipvsadm reload
... and tried an ssh 132.100.10.99 from outside. Result:
ssh: connect to host 134.100.10.99 port 22: Connection refused
I a stock linux-2.4.26 on a debian woody+backports,
and ipvsadm 1.21release6-0.backports.org.1.
