Following in Joe's footsteps, option number 4 would be outstanding! If you want 
something that would truly improve the LVS project, this would be a good one. 
While state isn't important for simply HTTP, it is important for many things we 
(my organization) run over HTTP.

In other words, I would vote for #4.
