I have trouble finding entries in the HOWTO and I wrote them all.

At the top of the HOWTO (see "search the documentation")

http://www.austintek.com/LVS/LVS-HOWTO/HOWTO/

there's a link to two search engines for the mailing list.

There's also an htdig search engine which searches all the
LVS documentation (not just the HOWTOs)

The htdig search engine gives you results by chapter. Thus if you
want to find out about running clients on realservers, and use "client
realserver" you'll get all the chapters containing "client" and "realserver"
ie all of them. The first hit of interest is about having realservers
be clients of the virtual service, which is not what you're after.
The one you want is in the 3-Tier LVS section, but the search engine
misses the string of interest, because the text is about "clients" and
"realservers". If you put these two strings into the search engine,
then you get the correct entry first hit. Still the search engine
only gets you to the top of the chapter about 3-Tier LVS's and not
to the strings.

So it helps sometimes.
