That OK.
You don't need ::/etc/ha.d/ldirectord.cf as this is one of the default
locations. But that doesn't help.
So run ldirectord
ldirectord start
and make sure your config is syntactically correct.
Exactly what errors are you getting when you start up heartbeat then?
