Job Description
Seeking a senior programmer who will be responsible for
infrastructure software development to enable high availability (HA).
Responsibilities will include:
- Design and implementation of infrastructure software that
enables HA functions such as failover, redundancy management,
check-pointing, process restart, in-service software upgrade (ISSU),
hot standby, non stop forwarding (NSF).
- Work closely with other software developers to incorporate
the HA infrastructure changes
- Work with product management to develop the Reliability,
Availability, and Serviceability (RAS) feature roadmap
- Work closely with the hardware team to increase overall
system availability
- Work with customers to ensure their satisfaction with the
product availability
Requirements for this position include:
- BSCS or BSEE or equivalent experience
- Expertise in embedded system software development using
RTOS like VxWorks or QNX
- Expertise in C language programming
- Experience developing infrastructure software to enable
highly available embedded systems
- Previous implementation of HA infrastructure software which
was deployed in a large scale system
- Previous experience developing software in a startup environment
- Strong team player, can-do attitude
- Strong product and customer orientation
Bonus
- MSCS or MSEE
- Worked on QNX microkernel
- Highly available databases, database replication
Salary - 100k-120K + Stock options
