Just curious if anyone else has the timing issues I mention below (where
the IP is taken down during failover but the IP is still pingable for a
couple of seconds and what ways this can worked around?

Subject: heartbeat question about failover
We are using heartbeat/ldirectord 1.2.3 on centos 4.2.
We have an issue where on failover the IPdddr resource script from
heartbeat takes down the interface but the OS responds to ping for a
couple seconds.
We have verified its not IPaddr scripts issue. If we issue an ifdown on
the interface the same thing occurs (its pingable for a couple of
seconds).
To work around this we sleep in a resource script after IPaddr runs.
This is not a good long term fix for this problem.
Has anyone else run into this issue? What are the recommended fixes/work
arounds?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve
