Hello, I handled about 20'000 simultaneous HTTP connections with a Sempron 2200+ 512Mo of RAM. And the CPU was about 97/98% idle. :) But I believe have read that SMP is not "ideal" for LVS. Olivier Pierre-Luc Brunet a écrit : Hello,I'm thinking about setting up an LVS server. The box I would use would have two dual Xeon 3.2 ghz cpus and 2 gigs of ram. It would also have 2 gig Ethernet cards.Now... I'm just wondering... am I using hardware that's way too powerful? I have to handle something around 1250 to 2000 requests per second.Any advise would be useful. Thanks!NOTE: The machine I plan on using is a spare machine I have... I'm just not sure if it's just way too powerful to use for what I need. -- Pierre-Luc Brunet_______________________________________________ LinuxVirtualServer.org mailing list - lvs-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Send requests to lvs-users-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx or go to http://www.in-addr.de/mailman/listinfo/lvs-users |
