And about LVS-NAT?
Is it still the least scalable? How many RS is the limit?

Hi,

I tried a similiar configuration and got loss of performance once I enabled
statefull inspection. ipvs and statefull are two things which one shouldn't use
together!

Hello,

Probably this issue was already discussed here but I did not find the messages related.

I'm creating a Active-Active structure to host several virtual servers with 2 directors. About 40 to 50 real servers will be connected to this 2 directors. The idea is to use those guys as firewalls too, statefull, for common services (80, 443, 21, 25).
Because of that we need to use LVS-NAT for our load balancing solution.

My questions are:
- LVS-NAT can handle 50 servers?
- Is it ok to use the director as a firewall too?

The directors are very good servers - Dell pe1950 Intel Xeon 5110 Dual Core de 1.60 Ghz with 2 GB of ram ( we still have the possibility to put one more processor on each director)

Thanks,

Gustavo
