Lately we've been using the term "application node" or
"app node" for short. That term seems to help clarify
the purpose of the box--it's where the applications
run inside the cluster.
You can stick virtual hosts, Java containers, ZEO
clients, etc. on "app nodes" and still talk about it
:-)
