I want a transparent proxy cluster that supports utilizing the localnode.
That way I can do transparent cache with just 2 machines total.
Currently I can get everything working without the localnode, I can only get
the localnode working with REDIRECT, and REDIRECT breaks sending the packets
out to other nodes... Is there a way to get the localnode to do transparent
cache without REDIRECT?

REDIRECT for LVS broke late in the 2.2 kernels and won't be
fixed. See the section on transparent proxy about this.

given that you can't use redirect, what are you trying to
accomplish? ie there might be some other way.
