Hi Alsan,
This patch is find in principle, of course assuming it works :-)
One thing that needs to be handled very carefully is adding the new
parameter in such a way that it won't break existing configurations.
I haven't studied the patch carefully yet, but at a glance I think
that some more attention is needed in this area.
