Keepalived VRRP & aliased interfaces

Hello,
I'm setting up keepalived in an active/passive setup. My active  
director has VIPs on aliased interfaces; they are all aliases of  
eth1. Does keepalived care about the aliased interfaces? I.e. will I  
need one VRRP instance for each network interface, or can I just drop  
the IPs into a single instance with interface eth1?
Also, what about the backup director? Will I need to duplicate the  
alias setup on it, or can it just use it's eth1 with multiple IPs?
