Ok sorry about that, I had taken out all attempts at installing it because I had never been able to get it to work successfully. I just added this back into ldirectord.conf and restarted:

virtual=207.7.248.20:8080
       real=10.0.1.1:446 masq
       real=10.0.4.1:446 masq
       real=10.0.8.1:446 masq
       scheduler=rr
       service=https
       protocol=tcp

I now get, this added when i do ipvsadm -a:

TCP  reverse.thumbtechs.com:webca rr
 -> s1:webcache                  Route   1      0          0

If I do telnet 10.0.4.1 446 from the gateway I get the homepage, but if I try to connect from the outside world to www.thumbtechs.com:8080 I cannot make a connection.
