The info on the documentation seems to be kind of old, does anybody have some fresh experience using nat and more than 20 real servers?

I don't expect there'll be much difference between 1 realserver and 20 realservers. The director does a lookup and then does a header rewrite. I expect the table lookup will be quick. I would expect the real problem is whether you can keep the NICs facing the internet and the realservers saturated. If you can do that, I don't think LVS will slow down throughput much.

Of course this is all speculation I'm afraid and not measurement.
