I always tend to build my kernels (even on uniprocessor machines) with
SMP enabled, because I remember (back in 2.1.x days) having problems
compiling kernels that didn't have SMP enabled.  Must try building 
with SMP disabled again sometime!

Will let you know if there's anything interesting to report from our 
experiments with LBLC...
