Got the same problem too. Still don't know why, but IPVS didn't work until I
set via sysctl
net.ipv4.tcp_sack = 0
net.ipv4.tcp_timestamps = 0
net.ipv4.tcp_window_scaling = 0
on both the director and teh real server. All this time linux clients weren't
working, but windows clients did.
