i think my problem is not the arp problem, because the realservers
doesnt reply to the arp requrest when the client wants to figure out the
mac address on the VIP device. i have read the examples that comes with
configure-lvs.pl, and there the client uses 2 NICs. in an real production
environment, does the client have to be changed to an router connecting
the 2 networks together?

also: is it important when the
echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/conf/all/hidden
echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/conf/lo/hidden
statements have to be executed? befor the devices are set up or is it ok when
i start it befor i make the first connection to the VIP?

thx a lot,

Chris
