strange behaviour

Hi, 

i have installed LVS statically compiled into a 2.4.18 kernel.
The loadbalancer is working in most situations, but we are
experiencing really strange problems, e.g.: 

        lan <-> nat <-> router a <-> lvs <-> realserver

is not working (although the redirection is in the ipvs tables.

        host <-> router a <-> lvs <-> realserver

works perfectly.

Furthermore, the lvs seems to nat every connection to the hosts behind
it although these hosts are directly reachable and i have no vs rules
matching those connections. I don't think this is correct behaviour.

Any hints (and yes, i also have netfilter enabled statically compiled
into my kernel)?
