you can try putting a static arp entry on the cisco router for the VIP
(im using DR and this solved the problem for me, the realserver's MAC
was being stored instead of the director's).
here's the syntax:
arp a.b.c.d 00a0.c983.3ab8 ARPA
where a.b.c.d = VIP
