A NIC can have multiple addresses. Can you put an internal and an external IP
onto
your mailserver machine?

If you only have one public IP allocated, then you will have to have the VIP
serve both your web and mail functions. If you have 2 IPs, then you can use one
for the VIP of your LVS and another for your mail machine.
