I did'nt get a chance to try anything as I got the following error:

[sbt@cluster1 noarp-1.1.0]$ ./configure
[...]
checking kernel header <linux/netfilter_arp.h>... configure: error: not
found!

[sbt@cluster1 noarp-1.1.0]$ locate netfilter_arp.h
/usr/src/linux-2.4.18-18.7.x/include/linux/netfilter_arp.h

"make -C /usr/src/linux-2.4.18-18.7.x menuconfig dep" did not solve the
problem (configure was initialy complaining not to find
/usr/src/linuc/include/.config)
