Generally use what you know.  Is there a reason you don't like Pirahna?
Stick with what works, don't fix what isn't broken, KISS.  As for Keepalived
& Ultramonkey : they both have their advantages and disadvantages, but
Keepalived currently seems like a 'moving target'; lots of ongoing
development there.  Ultramonkey might be more stable.  Your mileage will
vary.
