I am sure you've seen this, but is Andrew's patch in 2.6.10?

Yep, it looks to be exactly the same thing. Checking 2.6.10, it's not
applied. According to the following thread, it is applied in 2.6.12
(which I have confirmed).
WTF ! I naively thought upgrading to 2.6.10 would have solved the
problem and did not even check the patch was applied :(
I'm rebuilding the module ... hoping it'll solve the problem :)
