Subject: all clients disconnect when removing a realserver

Hi,

I'm running heartbeat+ldirectord, 1 VIP and 8 realservers. When there's a
(suspected) problem with a server, i want to put that server out-of-service.
Meaning the clients still connected to the realserver will be able to work
as normal, but new clients are no longer directed to that realserver.

Problem is (i guess) persistance (set to 6 hours - company policy). I'm
using the wlc scheduler and the easiest way is to set the weight to 0. But
people who were connected in the last 6 hours will still be directed to the
realserver.

So i thought what if i simply remove the realserver, by commenting it out in
ldirectord.cf? That works, except it first disconnects everyone connected to
the realserver at that time. And that was definately not what i planned.

Can i do something about this? Is there a better way? Is keepalived better
in this situation, or doesn't it matter?

Thanks,

Léon
