Randy,
Thanks for the help
Sure, no deal ;).
not sure what "FIB" is
FIB: forward information base
The point is that the Linux kernel technically (if we're being picky)
does not do routing, but forwarding. Routing is originally rather used
in conjunction with dynamic packet forwarding based on a router
protocol, such as RIP or OSPF or any other.
Since we use tools like route or ip route to set up "routes" and even in
the kernel we have a route.c, it's become customary to refer to routing
as well when we speak of a Linux host (or router) forwarding packets
from one network to another one.
my config is 1 director and 3 real servers
i have had 192.168.0.203 and 192.168.0.204 running for quite a while
and i am trying to add a third 192.168.0.159
Ok.
203 and 204 are rh9 and 159 is fedora 4
I just saw the other thread, yes. And I tend to agree with Graeme on
that FC4 might just be a tad bit better regarding performance. Also, is
the hardware comparable or completely different to your other servers?
virtual=66.208.187.10:80
real=192.168.0.203:80 gate
real=192.168.0.204:80 gate
real=192.168.0.159:80 gate
fallback=127.0.0.1:80 gate
And you want to do LVS_DR, not LVS_NAT, correct?
service=http
request="ldirectordping.html"
receive="Test Page"
scheduler=wlc
persistent=1800
netmask=255.255.255.0
protocol=tcp
So what do you need 66.208.187.240/25 for?
